A howling wind blows the litter, as the rain flows

It's November 14th today. Should this be a significant date? I worry about this day.

For years, I went through a phase of absent-mindedly dating everything November 14th. I have no idea why, but I worry it's portentous. You know I can be quite superstitious. I'm hoping the day will pass without incident. Cross everything.

On another note, I was looking at the dashboard thing that counts your visitors, and my hit rate has dropped dramatically. The blog's getting plenty of comments, which is nice - keep 'em coming! - but I put it down to being dropped from Andrew Collins' blog roll. My own fault of course - I told him to when I 'closed' my blog, much like Valentine Suicide is doing now, and he did, in an instant. I posted that, by the way, the blog is back and can be found here, but the hint wasn't taken. Shame, cos I liked having a lot of traffic.

Here's something I found out that's interesting. A friend of ours who I've not seen for ages, works with Emma Watson's mother! How I laughed. She's a lawyer. Better not talk about her daughter's tits anymore.

Uncertain Smile by The The popped up on the way to work this morning and once again it's confirmed as my very favourite song of all time (not the Jools Holland piano version, the original single version). I've not heard it for ages, and it still sends a shiver down my spine. It's so autumnal and it has so many memories attached. It's the only song that makes me feel properly, emotionally nostalgic, if that makes any sense at all. That's a sure sign of a favourite song.

Have a super weekend!
