Where have all the flowers gone?

I've just been to my favourite lunchtime takeaway in Camden Market. Kim's, it called, run by Kim herself, who always remembers what you have, even if you only go once a fortnight. Stop me if you've heard this before, but it's south Asian and completely delicious. She fills it to the brim and it's only £3.50. A real bargain.

And the good thing today was, the market was totally devoid of people. I mean literally there was no one but idling stallholders wondering, like me, where all the crowds have gone. No tourists, not one.

Why is this? Surely not because a couple of bombs didn't go off? Imagine what it would be like if they did. Would London be deserted? So a good thing? Yes and no.

So now we hear doctor are behind it all. Am I over-reacting to find this deeply disturbing? Doctors, people in a position of trust. If what we read is to be believed, these doctors were asylum seekers who used their respectability to gain a route into the UK who kindly took them in and gave them jobs - and this is how they repay us? Yikes, if doctors are doing it, are policemen too? This of course could be barking up the wrong tree, but already you can sense the general panic.

Will people refuse to be treated by Asian doctors in case they're terrorists and deliberately inject you with something that will cause a slow and painful death? I tell you, if a member of the emergency services is found to be allied, you can bet we'll be hurtling toward Children Of Men world, V For Vendetta land or some other sort of Dystopia. And we don't want that, do we.

People will cry: 'Not all Muslims are terrorists!', to which I reply: 'I know. But, there's always one that's got to ruin it for everyone else.'
