
Isn't it about time there was a revival of kitchenware that features drawings? You know, bunches of herbs on storage jars, wheatsheaves on toasters and tiles with pairs of fish on. That sort of thing.
Did you have anything like this at home? I recall a whole range in the F-C kitchenette of yesteryear, which included tea and coffee jars and even trays with pictures of bouquets of herbs, almost cartoonish in style, on them. They don't make this kind of thing anymore do they.
Well why not? Once you could get your entire kitchen range like this. Admittedly some it's ghastly, but in principle, I think it's a good idea. We do have a lot of this at home. Some lovely casserole dishes with 1960s vegetables on them, bowls with stylised grapefruit slices on them, that sort of thing. Mrs F-C is big on retro kitchenware.
I think I might bring out my own range. Any ideas?
