We had lunch with a VERY LOUD FRIEND yesterday. He runs an art gallery and he's absolutely full of it. Namedropping here, defending the use of the correct title for some Russian pauper princess there. Everyone was staring, it was so embarrassing. People were laughing. If it was me in their shoes, I would have done the same thing. Luckily it was Asian fusion, so you're in and out really, aren't you. But one hour did seem like an awfully long time.

On another note, we watched a preview tape of See No Evil, the dramatisation of the Moors Murders last night. Maxine Peake is scarily like Myra Hindley, who initially comes across as a loving, dependable daughter and friend, but soon shows her true colours. Sean Harris plays evil Ian Brady to the hilt. It's all quite chilling. This really brings the case to life.

Personally, I think Myra Hindley is still alive. She was only 60 when she "died", and there was no hope of her being released from jail and living a normal life was there, that coupled with the fact that no Home Secretary wanted to be the one to set her free. I reckon she lives a nice quiet life in the north east or in Kent or something. After all, who'd recognise her now? I've only ever seen two pictures. Shame the devastated families she left behind didn't lead nice quiet lives.

It's a fascinating story, a case I've always found horrifying. Joanne Froggatt plays her sister Maureen, and she's great. How would you feel if you're sibling was a serial killer? It doesn't bear thinking about.

Anyway, this is on in mid-May. Don't miss it!
