Where are you going? Downtown of course!

Isn't it funny. I was just waxing about Petula Clark the other day, and lo and behold I saw her in the street. I was on my way back from a very entertaining Harry Hill shoot and on the bus up the King's Road. From the window I saw a crinkly blonde-haired woman popping same into a taxi. As the taxi drove off I noticed it was our Pet. So of course, I got off the bus at the next available stop to get a closer look. And yes, down the mole and the smoker's pout (though I'm not sure if she's a smoker or not), and it was her.

Now, in my line of work, I see famous people all the time, and working in London you see famous faces more often than not. But Sixties legends are a different matter. I have to say I was quite overcome with excitement. It like when I saw Sean Connery in Ask Pizza once. These are REALLY famous people, rather than bloke off Emmerdale or a random daytime TV presenter. Fiona Philips in the Savoy will never compare.

Anyhoo, I also saw Louise Redknapp. But really, you know where I'm coming from.
