How tiresome

We've only just had Christmas, said goodbye to The X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing and now it's Celeb BB time all overagain. I can't tell you how much I've had more than enough of these tedious celebrity love-ins.

Yes, I did watch who went into the house last night, each one more ludicrous/low rent than the next. Ken Russell? Leo Sayer? Donny Tourette? Who the fuck is this? Someone who wants to do a Pete/Preston no doubt and sell a few records. Why does Leo Sayer need to do this? Why does Ken Russell need to do this - is he the new John McCririck? H from Steps and Jo O'Meara, well they're not busy are they so why not. Jermaine Jackson - would anyone know who this unless told? I thought it was Mark Monero in fancy dress, but he seems to think everyone should know who he is.

The only bright spot is the sending in of Carole Malone, a journalist I have little time for but a journalist all the same. It's should be interesting. Will the celebs turn on her, or clam up when she's around? I noticed she got booed by the crowd on the way in - neanderthal crowd see journalist = booing. We get a terrible time!

Anyhoo, Dirk Benedict will be irritating, but not more so than Davina. Her style is so bizarre she's become a parody of herself. Is she having a laugh at our expense?

Well, that's it for me now. I won't be watching. But don't think I'll be glued to Just The Two Of Us. Another reality show we don't need.

Still, it's not nearly as execrable as Celebrity Duets, which we watched open-mouthed on Christmas Eve. Roy Orbison superimposed onto Westlife, Peggy Lee and Simon Webbe - it was ridiculous. Hopefully, it won't be back. Vernon Kay is almost the kiss of death. They should have superimposed 1974 Ed Stewpot Stewart next to him. The two are identical.

Duets Impossible was the nadir of the celeb entertainment singing genre recently. Sugarbabes and Dusty Springfield anyone?
