Just interested...

The statcounter on this blog tells me that at least 45 people have read this blog today. But I've only got one comment (from the ever-reliable queen of the blogosphere Clair). Fair enough if you've got nothing to say on my tiresome witterings about the hits of 1969, but I love having comments.

So all your anonymous readers - do feel free to comment. About anything really. My biggest ever collection of comments was on a thread about Styx. Strange but true.

Am I boring you?

Can you tell us what they've been searching for to get here, though? I'm still getting lots of traffic from misguided people looking to trace James Martin's whereabouts or sexuality, or trying to find pictures of GMTV presenters in underwear. And now I've written that, so will you!

(You can tell it's a quiet afternoon in the office...)

I can't make that bit work for me. I've tried, but to no avail.

Am I right in thinking, FC, that like our friend Mr GKW, you are a fan of Heroes? I'm getting quite into it now, although I'm watching it on the Sci-Fi Channel so I'm only up to episode 18 (no spoilers plz).

On an entirely different topic, I saw an ad the other day for Dean Friedman on tour. He is playing London at the end of July, but annoyingly it's a Saturday night. I'd happily give him a Tuesday, but whether he'd warrant a Saturday I really don't know. (You'll note I say this as if I have a sparkling Saturday night social life, which is of course a total lie.)

I did see that about Dean F, Kitten, and thought about it, but you're right, weekends are a no-no for Dean. At least Gilbert O'Sullivan had the decency to play on a Wednesday.

I am a Heroes fan, and I've been getting the DVDs sent through on a regular basis. Up to 18 or 19 now and loving every minute of it. I think I'll get watching on the Sci-Fi Channel now I've caught up with it.

There's nothing worse than spending ages writing something and nobody comments. I suppose you just have top put it down to either people think you're talking nonsense but don't wish to get involved, or that they have absolutely nothing to add. I have somebody who reads mine but is too shy to comment on the blog itself, so sends me emails.

What gets my goat are certain blogs (and Clair knows who I'm talking about) that are extremely rubbish but get loads of comments. Bah!
Or perhaps it's my blog that's rubbish.......

'Twas ever thus, Rich. We would all like to think ourselves aloof and superior intellectuals with no need for public validation, but somewhere inside we still wish we were the popular kids at school...

If it's of any consequence, or value, I read your blog (and nine others)every day. I only comment on about five. I think realistically that limits me to a regular readership of five people. In blogging land, it seems you reap what you sew..

As a result of this, I also get few comments, but I write it primarily to amuse myself in the long dark moments beween birth and death.

I've been idly wondering how people become 'uberbloggers', and concluded that you either need a very high media profile, to have been around for a long time (like Anna Pickard's Little Red Boat), or write about sex (hello, Girl With A One Track Mind!). So hang in there, and get on with the dirty stuff, FC...

Not being 'bored' by the blog at all - 'highly entertained' is nearer the mark!

Thanks for all your comments. Hooray! Comments!
It's true Val, you do reap what you sow. And yes Rich and Clair, I know exactly what you're talking about.

Still, here we all are, eh?
