Look what's vying for the 'coveted' Christmas number one slot. I detest this toothless moppet. Please don't let it be her.
Is this slot so coveted anymore? It'll be Leon from the X Factor, or that dreadful Melua/Cassidy dirge that's the current number one.
I'm glad to see a glut of Christmas classics making the '40' though, like Driving Home For Christmas, Fairytale Of New York and Merry Christmas Everyone.
But this? Kill me.

As I write this, Chris Rea is on the wireless. It's smashing, and some smashing is what I'd like to do the that awful child. I shall be playing Dean Martin's Christmas album this weekend.
"smashing" her ?
Isn't iTunes and download democracy meant to bounce all this zzz Factor nonsense out.
My two fave' crooner Christmas albums are Frank Sinatra ( the Nelson Riddle one)half popular songs - half carols - marvelous. And The Bing Crosby (with the Andrews Sisters) one- storming versions of 'Jingle Bells' and 'Santa Claus is coming to town'
The Andy Williams and Tony Bennet albums are great companion pieces too.
