Just like writing a diary, this blog has become a bit of a chore and therefore fallen by the wayside. Clearing out some stuff at the weekend I came across the last diary I wrote from 1981. Starts off great guns blazing as I was off on (my one and only) skiiing holiday in Italy with my schoolmate Shaun and his family.

Whatever happened to him?

The other diary is from 1978. It's a Melody Maker diary, brought home by my Dad who worked in those days at IPC. It's full of excellent record company ads etc, and recounts my school days in detail from January to March. Who fell out with who, who was going out wiht who, the charts, TV shows etc. Andrew Collins would be proud. But of course come March interest has waned, until suddenly in September it springs back to life, talking about what's new. It's quite sweet really.

Me at 13, a very different person to who I am now, thankfully.
