Sioux rude

I've always liked Siouxsie. She's a great singer, with a great body of work and she's a bit of a goth fox to boot. But the interviews I've read with her recently (The Word, Mojo), have really put me off her. She's a terrible diva, to the point of self-parody. Perhaps she always was like that, but there's something rather undignified about plain rudeness when you've been in the business as long as she has. She's always made it her business to be obtuse, as that was what was expected of her, but it's surly and unprofessional now. It makes for great copy, is unacceptable. She's pretentious too, answering questions with drivel that would shame a depressed sixth former.

She got very cross in the Mojo interview when asked about those swastikas. 'It was a one-off!' she cried. But it was designed to shock and stick in the mind - and it has. So let that be a lesson, eh? So she stomps out of interviews if things get a bit tricky, which means she's not nearly as clever or articulate as she thinks she is or she'd be able to handle interviewers' questions. It's not like she's not had nearly 30 years to come up with an answer to the 'swastikas, why?' question.

Of course I still love her music, but she's gone down in my estimation. I bet she's heartbroken.

Why on earth would she be a Wolves supporter?
She's from glamorous Bromley.

I'm not disputing you, just curious why...

It's something to do with her brother being a fan (although I assume he's also from Bromley). Also, she likes the Gold and Black and Wolf's Head...
