10 comedy things I don't find in the least bit funny

1. Borat

2. Vic Reeves

3. Justin Lee Collins

4. Anything Mel Brooks

5. Russell Brand (however that book serialisation in the Guardian is a bloody good read)

6. Hot Fuzz (though I did like Shaun Of The Dead)

7. Adam Sandler

8. "The computer says 'no' "

9. "Like (blank) on acid"

10. Mark Lamarr (just nasty).

You can have all of those apart from Vic Reeves.

And I think I'm the only person in the world who neither loves or hates Brand, I can take him or leave him.

You can have all of those except Vic Reeves and 'Young Frankenstein'.

What about Ricky Hervaid?

'Hot Fuzz' is one of the worst bloody films I've ever seen in my life. And as for Russell Brand - shocking. Only not in the way he thinks.

But Vic Reeves has given me great pleasure.

Borat? The only time he made me laugh was when a friend of mine went to a fancy dress party as Borat in 'that' swimsuit. I asked him if it wasn't a bit brief and wasn't he afraid of any revealing accidents, and he replied 'A dead bird never falls out of the nest'.

But not even The Producers?

Blazing Saddles at an absolute push. And that's it.

I agree with you, FC, with only two provisos.

a) Vic Reeves was quite funny up until about 1995.

b) Shaun of the Dead wasn't funny either...

How about "Timothy Leary on acid"?

I don't mind Vic and Bob (but Bob is funnier)

I don't get Adam Sandler at all, but I've never seen one of his films. His face annoys me. He looks like he's holding a pickled egg in his mouth - (but this works for Robert De Niro).

My straight faced list is

Might Boosh.
I'm always waiting for something to happen, and then it finishes

When ever someone says " this'll make you laugh" it never does.

Johnathan Ross - a bully that goes all Pepe Le Pew for every woman.

I must agree with your choices too, Mondo. Ross is only okay on the radio.

I've never watched The Mighty Boosh, but something tells me I won't like it.

You can have most of those, but I quite like Lamarr. I think his radio shows are excellent. It's not surprising you turn out a bit nasty coming from Swindon.
