Can't let go

The minute I said goodbye I immediately regretted it. And thanks to the marvellous Avenues and Alleyways and the ever-helpful Kitten In A Brandy Glass, I've found the blog and I'm back.

I promise never to do this again. I wasn't doing a woe is me, and I've been accused of naval gazing (which I don't do ever, I don't think), I've been dropped from blogrolls like a hot herb loaf, but the truth of the matter is, though this blog can weigh me down, I like doing it, and I missed it instantly. Suddenly I had loads of things I wanted to say.

I feel shamed, but there it is.

So here we are. Note the new URL. Not sure how that happened. Spread the word. Come back to me. The bistro's doors are always open!

Hoorah and welcome back FC!

Nothing to be ashamed about: deleting one's own blog is a blogging rite of passage. As is the subsequent backtracking!

Also, when you've done it once, you tend not to do it again because your sympathy card has already been played...

I did have suspicions you'd be back soonish - I've had the blog-wobbles myself a couple of times, but once you're in the black hole of blogging it's almost impossible to get out isn't it.

Are you not tempted to open a Tobacconist/Newsagents next to the Bistro as well - Bar Six and Five Centres were two of my fave choco' bars - along with Buttersnap, Pink Panther bars and Country Style (the taste of '77).

I was just thinking about what could come next after Five Centres and Bar Six... was there ever a make of sweets with seven in the name? There's Seven-Up, obviously, but something chocolatey would be better. And then after that, After Eight!

Pink Panthers, now you're talking.

Yes, I'm kind of embarrassed, but here I am. As you both say, it's a right of passage, and I'll never be able to do it again!

You charlatan!

You've still got to sing The Last Farewell, mind.

Good to have you back.

'Naval gazing'. What, like looking at the Ark Royal through binoculars?

Five-Centres said...

I've never done that Clair.

I've deleted more blogs than you can shake a stick at (well, two to be precise, and both for very good reason), it's great. I like the fact that it's all gone, like Bill Drummond creating music to destroy it after it's been listened to once.
Mind you, I was rather proud of A Sea of Cheese... Boo hoo.

Amazingly this survived. Like the cockroach, it will survive a nuclear war.

*whispers*

I think you mean 'navel gazing'.

...she added, churlishly. Welcome back.

"Well. Just got in after a super-long day and now this. THIS." etc etc.
I only got as far as the car park, dropped my keys in the drain and banged my head on the car looking for them. So now I'd like some pudding please, a pint and a Castella.
After that we've got to go round to Clair's and help her sort things out. We need a good man to run a decoy operation and given your recent form I'd say you're it. You can do your best Harry Palmer.
Good to have you back anyway F-C.

Well, that didn't last long.

Nice to see you again.

Heavens! It's like an emotional fan-dance. But good to have you back anyway, you tease.

Hmm, I would forgive the flouncing but I've since, with less online fluff to read, applied for a job. So I'm cross.
